Innovation, Environmental, Safety, and Corporate Responsibility
HID Ultraviolet is a vertically integrated manufacturer. We design and build all of our equipment in the USA utilizing virtual rapid prototyping which makes it easier and faster for us to add improvements and customer suggested changes. It also enables us go from initial idea to production as quickly as possible. We bring in raw materials such as steel, aluminum, plastic, wire, and electronic components.
We punch, cut, bend, machine, clean, finish, and paint all of our metal parts in-house. We mold and finish our plastic parts in-house. We build our own circuit boards and wind our own power transformers. We have a clean, safe, and modern factory environment. Our employees are empowered to make improvements, changes, decisions, and even to stop production if they discover any quality or safety problems. We recycle over 90% of our manufacturing waste and use energy and material efficient manufacturing processes with modern equipment.
A significant portion of our electricity is supplied by locally generated solar and wind power and we use new low wattage computers and high efficiency LED lighting in our office and factory. We give back to the community through donations of time, money, and resources to charitable organizations with a focus on helping disadvantaged and abused women and children.
